Oh Wal-Mart

I went to Wal-Mart today with both the kids.

Why?

I guess I'm a masochist or something

While I'm trying to round up Cade who's knocking everything off the shelves and then tossing everything else that's still on the shelves into my cart and keep Jackson happy (he's tired and crying in the cart) all while trying to stay on budget and keep track of how much I'm spending (thank you Aaron) some old man walks by and says,

"That's what you get for having them so close together."

Here's what else you get because they're so close together... Two brothers that interact and play with each other. They're interested in the same things (which admittedly can be bad sometimes, but they'll learn how to share and then it's great!) They'll grow up to be friends with each other and learn that they can confide in and learn from the other one. As they get older, they'll be able to go places together and bond through experiences. And the last and most important one is that they'll portty train pretty close together and you'll be done with diapers that much sooner! I'm kidding, that's not the last thing. I had almost all my kids close together and I love it! I wouldn't change it at all. Sure it can be tough when they're little, but it's also sweet to see them grow up together. Then, when they're older, it's awesome!!

Going to the store with two kids by yourself can be ROUGH! We have these big blue carts at the Bloomington Walmart that are a pain to drive around but they have two seats that you can strap your kids into and that is wonderful! Plus I always bring lots of snacks to keep my kids occupied! I promise it gets better when they get older.

OH my gosh are you serious!? What did you do? People are so horrible! I had a somewhat similar experience today with grayson. We were at TJMAXX and he didn't want to sit in the cart but we weren't going to let him run off...he starts pitching a fit and this older lady looks at us as Chris is walking off to give gray a talking to and she says... "Is he Okay?" I said yes he just wants to run around. So she has the guts to say... "Oh well when my kids are screaming like that it usually means they're hurt so I wanted to make sure he didn't hit his head or something" I was totally annoyed. Okay lady he's 2 and yes throws tantrums and screams like it's the end of the world. she kept following us around until we left. ANNOYING! (sorry for the long story)
